Job description
A popular and well-respected Good-rated secondary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a vibrant and passionate Music ECT to join their Performing Arts faculty for an immediate start . This is an excellent role for a trainee teacher who thrives in creative settings and is eager to develop their teaching craft within a warm and highly collaborative school culture. You will deliver Music across Key Stages 3 and 4 , following well-structured schemes of work that balance performance, composition, and listening skills. ECTs receive excellent support and are encouraged to bring their unique musical identity to the classroom. Whether your strength lies in vocal performance, instrumental teaching, composition, or ensemble direction, this department will welcome the opportunity to help you develop and showcase your abilities. The school values music highly and has invested in strong facilities including rehearsal rooms, instrument storage areas, digital composition suites, and access to an auditorium for concerts. The department runs a range of enrichment opportunities such as choir, band rehearsals, instrumental groups, lunchtime performances, and seasonal productions. The school culture is positive, organised, and respectful. Behaviour expectations are consistently upheld, allowing lessons to run calmly and ensuring ECTs feel confident and supported. Leadership maintains an open and inclusive approach, regularly checking in with early career teachers and ensuring they feel valued and guided throughout their induction.
