Job description
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher to join a supportive and high-achieving secondary school on the Isle of Wight. This is a full-time, permanent position starting January 2026, offering an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner to contribute to a thriving and well-resourced PE Department. • PE Teacher • High-Achieving Secondary School on the Isle of Wight • Full-time, permanent position • PE Teacher role starting January 2026 School Information This Isle of Wight school is known for its strong community ethos, excellent pastoral care, and consistently high academic standards . The PE Department plays a central role in school life, promoting physical well-being, teamwork, leadership, and healthy lifestyle habits. The school boasts extensive sports facilities , including sports halls, fitness suites, MUGA pitches, playing fields, and access to off-site specialist facilities. PE is a highly valued subject, with strong student participation and successful sports teams competing regionally. Role Information You will teach PE across KS3–KS4, with opportunities to contribute to GCSE PE and involvement in a busy extra-curricular calendar. The successful candidate will deliver engaging practical and theory lessons, promote inclusivity in sport, and demonstrate a commitment to student progress and enjoyment. Experience and Qualifications • Degree in PE, Sports Science, or related field • PGCE and QTS • Strong practical expertise across a range of sports • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities • Commitment to delivering high-quality physical education Salary Paid to scale on MPS / UPS Application This PE Teacher role presents an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected school on the Isle of Wight with a supportive staff culture and a passion for physical education.
