Job description
Why join us? A forward-thinking Dartford primary is recruiting a proactive School Business Manger to strengthen operational delivery from January 2026. The SBM will be instrumental in streamlining systems, supervising day-to-day administration and ensuring excellent value for money. The successful School Business Manger will be involved in transition meetings prior to January 2026, take part in an induction in January 2026, and commence in post from January 2026. Role responsibilities - the SBM will: Lead budget monitoring, prepare monthly financial reports and manage purchase orders as the School Business Manger. Oversee payroll liaison, staffing records and HR administration as the SBM. Manage premises, contractors and health & safety compliance as the School Business Manger. Coordinate school systems (MIS, purchasing, lettings) and ensure efficient office workflows as the SBM. Support governance by presenting clear financial summaries to governors as the School Business Manger. Person profile - who we’re looking for You’ll be an experienced School Business Manger or senior school administrator with proven budget experience and excellent IT competence. The SBM will be commercially aware, meticulous with data and confident leading small teams. You must be available for handover activity before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to start delivering from January 2026.
