Job description
Are you a reflective Year 3 Teacher seeking a Part-Time Year 3 Teacher position that still offers high-impact teaching, strong CPD and meaningful career development? A well-led Good primary in Croydon is recruiting a dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join its KS2 phase on a Part-Time basis with a January 2026 start. The Part-Time Year 3 Teacher will begin handover and planning before January 2026 , attend induction in January 2026 , and teach from January 2026 on the agreed Part-Time timetable that supports both classroom impact and wellbeing. Why this Part-Time Year 3 Teacher post? This Croydon school understands flexible working: the Part-Time Year 3 Teacher will take a full professional role in planning, assessment and parental engagement while working a Part-Time timetable. The school ensures the Part-Time Year 3 Teacher receives the same induction in January 2026 , access to CPD in January 2026 , and mentoring in the weeks after January 2026 as Full-Time colleagues. The Part-Time Year 3 Teacher will therefore be fully integrated into the phase despite the Part-Time working pattern. The role — what the Year 3 Teacher will do The Year 3 Teacher will design coherent sequences that build number fluency, reading comprehension and independent writing. The Year 3 Teacher will use formative assessment to identify next steps, run focused small-group interventions and collaborate with teaching assistants and colleagues. The Year 3 Teacher will lead enrichment, contribute to moderation and support transition work; the Year 3 Teacher will begin preparation for these responsibilities before January 2026 , attend induction in January 2026 , and deliver high-quality learning from January 2026 . Person specification — Year 3 Teacher We are looking for a reflective Year 3 Teacher with QTS and recent KS2 experience, excellent classroom management and an inclusive approach. The ideal Year 3 Teacher demonstrates strong subject knowledge and the ability to adapt practice for a Part-Time timetable. The Year 3 Teacher will be expected to attend pre-term planning prior to January 2026 , induction in January 2026 , and to commence teaching from January 2026 as a Part-Time Year 3 Teacher . Contract & support This is a Part-Time Year 3 Teacher post with a January 2026 start. The Part-Time Year 3 Teacher will receive induction in January 2026 , mentoring, and equal access to CPD in January 2026 and beyond.
