Job description
An Outstanding Ofsted-rated Academy in Islington, Central London, known for its exceptional Science and STEM provision and its focus on academic rigour, is seeking a dynamic Teacher of Physics to commence January 2026. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, practical, and theoretical Physics lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and 5 (A-Level). Inspire students to pursue STEM subjects at the highest level, fostering analytical and problem-solving skills in the laboratory and classroom. Contribute to the whole-school science culture, potentially leading projects, academic societies, or STEM enrichment activities. Collaborate closely with the Science department to ensure curriculum coherence and excellent teaching quality across all ability ranges. Effectively assess, monitor, and report on student progress to ensure exceptional outcomes. Requirements A degree in Physics or a related scientific/engineering discipline, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Demonstrable success in teaching Physics to A-Level and a history of achieving high value-added results. Excellent laboratory management skills and a commitment to safe, engaging practical science instruction. Seeking a professional who thrives in a highly disciplined and ambitious academic environment.
