Job description
A prestigious and high-achieving school in Essex is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Economics and Business to join their thriving Economics and Business department from ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity to teach Economics and Business across KS4 and KS5 in a school that consistently achieves excellent results. The successful Teacher of Economics and Business will deliver engaging lessons that inspire students and help them develop a deep understanding of both Economics and Business Studies. The Economics and Business department is well-resourced and benefits from a supportive and collaborative team. This role is suitable for both an experienced Teacher of Economics and Business looking for career progression and an ECT seeking a school with outstanding mentorship and training opportunities. Key Responsibilities Teach Economics and Business at KS4 and KS5, delivering high-quality and engaging lessons Develop and implement a dynamic Economics and Business curriculum that supports student achievement Use real-world examples to enhance understanding and application of Economics and Business theories Assess and track student progress, providing targeted support where needed Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as Economics and Business competitions, enterprise clubs, and guest speaker events Work collaboratively within the Economics and Business department to share best practices and improve learning outcomes School Information An outstanding school in Essex with a strong reputation for academic excellence A well-equipped Economics and Business department with excellent teaching resources A forward-thinking leadership team that supports teacher development A dynamic and engaging student body with a keen interest in Economics and Business Easily accessible location with excellent transport links Requirements A formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent) Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Economics and Business at KS4 and KS5 A passion for Economics and Business education and a commitment to student success Excellent communication and classroom management skills The legal right to work in the UK This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teacher of Economics and Business to join a thriving Economics and Business department in a high-performing school in Essex.
