Job description
Our client is seeking a PE ECT to join an Outstanding mixed secondary school in Birmingham . This is a permanent position starting January 2026 . PE ECT required to work full-time Outstanding school in Birmingham Excellent opportunity to join a vibrant and high-achieving PE department This is a fantastic opportunity for a PE ECT to begin their teaching career in one of Birmingham’s best schools. The department is known for its inclusive ethos, excellent coaching, and extensive extracurricular programme, including national-level competitions and inter-school sports festivals. The successful candidate will work with a supportive team of professionals committed to helping every student reach their potential, both in and out of the classroom. Experience and Qualifications PE ECT with the ability to teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable) Passion for physical education and promoting healthy lifestyles QTS (PGCE or equivalent) Excellent communication and teamwork skills Right to work in the UK School Information This Outstanding mixed secondary school in Birmingham educates approximately 1,500 pupils aged 11–18 and is renowned for its academic and sporting excellence. The PE Department benefits from extensive indoor and outdoor facilities, including a fitness suite, swimming pool, and multiple sports pitches. The school promotes holistic development and supports ECTs through mentoring, CPD, and regular observations. Behaviour and student engagement are consistently outstanding.
