Job description
Location: Enfield, North London Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only Start Date: ASAP / Next Term Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience A supportive and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Enfield is seeking a committed EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join its Early Years team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children with additional needs during a crucial stage of their development. About the School The school is well regarded within the local community and prides itself on its inclusive ethos and nurturing environment. Early Years provision is well structured, play-based, and focused on developing communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing. Staff work collaboratively, supported by a proactive SENCo and an approachable leadership team. The Role You will work with children in Nursery or Reception who have a range of Special Educational Needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, sensory needs, and developmental delay. Support will be provided on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. Key Responsibilities Provide tailored SEN support aligned with EHCPs Support access to the EYFS curriculum Promote communication, social interaction, and independence Use visual supports and sensory strategies Assist with personal care where required Observe and record progress Maintain safeguarding standards What the School Offers Supportive working environment Ongoing SEN and EYFS training Clear guidance and mentoring Well-resourced Early Years provision
