About the School An inspiring 11–18 secondary school in Salisbury is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art ECT to join their Visual Arts Department from January 2026. The school is celebrated for its academic success, supportive ethos, and thriving arts provision that encourages imagination, self-expression, and technical skill. About the Role This full-time, permanent position involves teaching Art & Design across KS3–KS5 , developing students’ creativity, artistic confidence, and understanding of visual culture. Key Responsibilities: • Teach engaging lessons across various media including drawing, painting, and digital art • Support GCSE and A-Level coursework and portfolio development • Lead or assist in extra-curricular clubs, exhibitions, and gallery visits • Encourage experimentation and creativity through practical projects ECT Support and Development: • Comprehensive induction with tailored mentorship • Weekly training sessions and feedback opportunities • Collaborative and supportive departmental culture • Reduced timetable to support professional growth Facilities and Resources: • Modern art studios, Mac suite, and on-site exhibition gallery • Access to creative resources and community art projects Experience and Qualifications: • PGCE with QTS (or pending) in Art & Design or Fine Art • Strong artistic and technical skillset • Commitment to developing creative confidence in students How to Apply Applications are encouraged from Art ECTs eager to begin their teaching career in an inspiring Salisbury school that values creativity and imagination.
