Job description
Our Client is looking for a Biology ECT to work within a high-performing mixed secondary school based in Harrogate. This is a full-time position to start from September 2025. Biology ECT required to work on a full-time basis Outstanding School in Harrogate Excellent Biology ECT to join a highly successful and well-resourced department Our Client is looking for a Biology ECT to teach across KS3 & KS4 within a high-performing mixed school based in Harrogate. The successful Biology ECT will be joining a well-resourced and supportive department with experienced colleagues ready to mentor new teachers. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your teaching career within one of the most respected schools in North Yorkshire where students are ambitious, engaged and behaviour is exceptional. Experience and Qualifications Biology ECT Be an enthusiastic, inspiring teacher Have excellent subject knowledge A formal teaching qualification with QTS (i.e. PGCE) Legal ability to work within the UK School Information This is an outstanding mixed school located in Harrogate. The school has a strong academic tradition (91% of students achieving grades 9–4 in English and Maths) and excellent science facilities including modern laboratories, interactive learning technology and extensive extracurricular STEM opportunities. The department offers comprehensive induction support for ECTs, including dedicated mentoring, regular observation feedback and reduced timetable allocations.
