Job description
A progressive Independent School in Camden is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teacher for a permanent, full-time position commencing in September. The successful PE Teacher will promote physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging PE Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a wide range of sports and physical activities. Prepare students for practical assessments and examinations in physical education and sports science. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment in physical activity for all students. Assess and monitor student progress in PE, providing constructive and encouraging feedback as a PE Teacher. Contribute to the organisation of extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and school sports events. Promote the importance of physical health and well-being across the school community. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Physical Education. Demonstrated experience in teaching PE at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4). A strong knowledge of various sports, fitness activities, and health education principles. Excellent communication, motivational, and coaching skills essential for engaging students in physical activity. Ability to inspire students of varying athletic abilities and promote a positive attitude towards PE. A commitment to collaborative work and a supportive ethos within the PE department.
