Job description
English ECT required to work on a full-time position from January 2026 Good mixed school based in York English ECT to join a highly successful and well-resourced department Our Client is looking for an English ECT to work within a vibrant mixed school in York. The successful English ECT will be expected to teach at KS3 & KS4. The department is well resourced and has an approachable and supportive Head of Department. This is an ideal environment for an ECT seeking to develop their practice within a collaborative, high-performing school. School Information Over-subscribed school with excellent behaviour and able students Good mixed school with modern facilities and strong academic culture Excellent transport links across the city and surrounding areas The school consistently achieves strong exam results and fosters a culture of creativity and independent learning. English is a popular subject, and staff benefit from an encouraging team that values new ideas and continuous improvement. The school has an outstanding induction programme for ECTs, ensuring consistent mentoring and professional growth.
