Job description
An Outstanding mixed secondary school in Brent is actively seeking a permanent, full-time Religious Education Teacher for a January 2026 start. This is a vital career opportunity within a Humanities faculty known for exceptional critical analysis and rigorous ethical debate. About the School The School is an established, Outstanding-rated comprehensive school for boys and girls (ages 11-18), recognised for its academic mastery and strong community ethos. It is a focused environment where autonomous and intensive thought is encouraged and holistic excellence is nurtured. The School is committed to every student’s development and wellbeing. Responsibilities The Religious Education Teacher will deliver rigorous and inspiring teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and 5 (A-Level). The teacher is responsible for driving high attainment and encouraging sophisticated ethical reasoning, philosophical debate, and essay writing skills. They must actively contribute to the school's culture of critical inquiry and thoughtful discussion. The Religious Education Teacher is expected to ensure consistent high academic results for all pupils, particularly those preparing for competitive university entry. The teacher must participate proactively in curriculum planning and support academic societies. Requirements Holds or is soon to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
