Job description
An independent school in Westminster is seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join their team starting in January 2026 . In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality early years education, supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of children in the foundation stage. You will be part of a nurturing and collaborative team committed to creating a stimulating learning environment where young learners thrive. With a curriculum tailored to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), the school encourages curiosity, independence, and a love of learning from the very start. EYFS Teacher Responsibilities · Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons and activities appropriate for EYFS children. · Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. · Observe, assess, and record children’s development, providing feedback to parents and colleagues. · Implement strategies to support individual learning needs and developmental milestones. · Promote positive behaviour and social skills through consistent guidance and encouragement. · Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop resources and share best practices. · Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as required. EYFS Teacher Requirements · Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. · Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. · Experience teaching in the EYFS or Early Years setting. · Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, child development, and assessment methods. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences. · Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice. · Flexibility and teamwork skills to contribute effectively to a collaborative environment.
