Job description
An Outstanding High School in Enfield is seeking a permanent, full-time Early Career Teacher (ECT) of English, starting January 2026. Begin your teaching career in a supportive and high-achieving department. About the School This school is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and is celebrated for its commitment to both high academic standards and student welfare. The English department is supportive and offers a strong, structured curriculum. The school provides a clear, highly effective ECT induction programme focused on professional growth. Responsibilities You will deliver engaging tuition across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and 5 (A-Level). Your core focus is driving high attainment and embedding effective classroom management and literacy practice. You must fully engage with the ECT support and mentoring programme and attend all dedicated colour sessions. Requirements You must hold or be soon to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). You must have the right to work in the UK. Benefits Excellent salary paid on the national Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS). A dedicated, bespoke ECT induction and mentoring programme.
