Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 5 Teacher for a high-achieving 2-form entry school in Barking, starting after the February half term 2025. This role is full-time. Interviews will be held as soon as possible. Year 5 Teacher Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 5. Implement effective teaching strategies to inspire and support student learning. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for development. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, enthusiasm, and a love for learning. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective curriculum delivery and share best practices. Communicate with parents and guardians regularly, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns. Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and school activities as required. Year 5 Teacher Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience teaching in Year 5 or a similar primary setting. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs. A team-oriented approach and flexibility to work collaboratively. Commitment to continuous professional development and educational best practices.
