Job description
An independent co-educational school in Suffolk is seeking a motivated and creative Design Technology Teacher to join their forward-thinking department on a full-time, permanent basis from January 2026 . The school, set in beautiful grounds and known for its family atmosphere, caters to students aged 11–18 and combines academic excellence with strong pastoral care. The DT Department is well-resourced, offering a variety of disciplines including Resistant Materials, Product Design, and Engineering. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across KS3–KS5, preparing students for examinations and encouraging innovative, hands-on learning. The role would suit a teacher who values creativity, precision, and the development of problem-solving skills through design. Applicants should possess excellent technical knowledge, a commitment to high standards, and the ability to inspire curiosity and craftsmanship. Prior experience in an independent setting is desirable but not essential. The school offers an excellent working environment, small class sizes, and a collaborative culture where professional autonomy and enrichment are valued.
