Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teacher for a high-achieving 2-form entry school in Barking, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position. Interviews will be held as soon as possible. KS1 Teacher Role Start Date: September 2025 Location: Barking Working Hours: Full-Time Contract Type: Permanent The School This high-achieving 2-form entry primary school in Barking is looking for an enthusiastic and committed KS1 Teacher to join their fantastic team. KS1 Teacher Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in line with the National Curriculum for KS1. Support students in building strong literacy and numeracy skills, ensuring readiness for Key Stage 2. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear learning targets. Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and a love for learning. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership to ensure high-quality curriculum delivery. Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns. Participate in school meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities as required. KS1 Teacher Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience teaching Year 2 or Key Stage 1. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and KS1 assessments. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire young learners. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A team-oriented approach and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues. Commitment to continuous professional development and best teaching practices.
