About the Role: Teach Art at A Level, inspiring and challenging students to deepen their understanding of artistic concepts, techniques, and art history. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Guide and support students in developing their artistic skills and portfolios, preparing them for further study and careers in the creative industries. Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including workshops, gallery visits, and critiques, to foster students' creativity and critical thinking skills. Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Art curriculum remains relevant and challenging. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the college to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Art education. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Art and a passion for the visual arts. Demonstrates a passion for teaching Art and a commitment to student success. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment. Has a good understanding of the A Level Art specifications and assessment requirements. Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
