Shape the Foundation of Learning We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and innovative EYFS Teacher to join our friendly primary school in Luton, starting as soon as possible. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work with children in the Foundation Stage, supporting their first formal experiences of school and laying the foundations for lifelong learning. As the EYFS Teacher, you will lead a Reception/FS2 class, designing and delivering engaging, play-based learning activities that foster curiosity, independence, and confidence. You will support children’s personal, social, and emotional development alongside early literacy and numeracy skills. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality, play-based learning activities across all areas of the EYFS curriculum Observe, assess, and record children’s progress to inform planning and track development Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment Promote independence, confidence, and social-emotional skills in all children Collaborate with colleagues to develop a cohesive Early Years curriculum and support continuity into Year 1 Communicate effectively with parents and carers, sharing progress and celebrating achievements Support children in transitioning successfully to the next stage of their education Maintain accurate records, including assessment, attendance, and wellbeing documentation This role offers the chance to make a real impact on children’s earliest educational experiences and help them develop a strong love of learning. Who We’re Looking For The successful candidate will be: A qualified teacher with QTS and EYFS experience Knowledgeable about the Early Years Foundation Stage framework Confident in planning, delivering, and adapting play-based learning opportunities Skilled in observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress Patient, nurturing, and able to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment Collaborative, reflective, and committed to professional development Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply, and mentoring and support will be provided to ensure success in the role.
