Job description
We are working with an Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" mixed secondary school in Camden recruiting for an English ECT. This school is a lead practitioner in the Early Career Framework (ECF) and offers an exceptional induction programme. The School Located in the heart of Camden, this high-achieving school is known for its academic rigour and commitment to social mobility. The school prides itself on a "warm-strict" approach to behaviour, ensuring that classrooms are purposeful centres of learning where teachers can focus entirely on their subject expertise. The Role You will teach English Literature and Language across KS3 and KS4. As an ECT, you will benefit from a 20% reduced timetable in your first year. Start Date: ASAP (Full-time, Permanent) Key responsibilities include: Delivering scholarly English lessons that prioritise deep text analysis. Engaging in weekly 1:1 mentor coaching sessions focused on instructional excellence. Contributing to the school’s vibrant literacy programme and debating societies. Utilising whole-class feedback strategies to minimise marking. Salary & Benefits Salary Range: £40,317 – £62,496 (M1 – UPS3) Access to a fully centralised resource bank to reduce planning workload.
