Job description
A high-performing Ofsted Outstanding school in Cambridge is seeking an ambitious ECT Business Teacher from January 2026 to teach engaging GCSE and A-Level Business lessons. Key Details • Role: ECT Business Teacher (GCSE & A-Level) • School: Outstanding Secondary School (11–18), Cambridge • Start: January 2026 • Suitability: Business/Economics ECTs • Exam Boards: Edexcel preferred About the School This thriving school educates around 1,000 pupils and is known for exceptional Sixth Form results, strong humanities provision, and excellent destination outcomes. Business classrooms are equipped with modern digital tools and case-based learning resources. As an ECT, you will receive dedicated mentoring, weekly training sessions, and a reduced timetable. The Role – What You’ll Do • Deliver Business lessons across KS4–KS5. • Teach marketing, finance, HR, and business strategy. • Use assessment to drive strong progress. • Support Business enrichment including Young Enterprise. • Contribute to curriculum development and exam preparation. • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic discipline. • Participate in pastoral responsibilities and whole-school events. Person Specification Essential: Business/Economics degree, PGCE/QTS, strong curriculum understanding. Desirable: Edexcel experience, enrichment involvement.
