Chemistry Teacher – Fixed-Term Opportunity (April - July) – Private School, Kingston An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join a prestigious private school in Kingston upon Thames. This is a full-time, fixed-term position covering the period from April to July 2025. The school seeks a talented Chemistry Teacher to join their highly successful Science department and contribute to a stimulating learning environment. This Chemistry Teacher will play a vital role during this period. Job Title: Chemistry Teacher Location: Kingston upon Thames (Specific school details will be shared with shortlisted candidates only) Department: Science School Type: Private School Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed-Term (April - July 2025) What We're Looking For: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual with a passion for Chemistry and a commitment to providing high-quality education. The ideal candidate will be: A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent). Consider adding: "Or have significant experience teaching Chemistry in an independent school setting," as private schools sometimes have more flexibility on QTS. Experienced in teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and ideally Key Stage 5 (A-Level). If A-Level is essential, state this clearly. Passionate about Chemistry and able to inspire students of all abilities. An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills. Committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of science. A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute to the wider school community. Dedicated to their own professional development. An inspiring Chemistry Teacher Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Chemistry lessons across the relevant Key Stages. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with high potential. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect. Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school. Participate actively in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum review. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress. Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
