The Opportunity & School Profile This vibrant Islington school is seeking a Sociology ECT. Our robust ECT support focuses on dialogue and communication, helping you navigate complex social theories and sensitive classroom debates with high-attaining GCSE learners. Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope Social Inquiry: Instructing Sociology at Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and supporting the Humanities curriculum at Key Stage 3. Analytical Skills: Developing students' ability to evaluate social structures, research methods, and diverse perspectives. Induction Focus: Evidence-gathering for the ECF through regular reflections and structured peer review. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Hold QTS. Relevant Degree in Sociology or Social Sciences. Salary: Paid on the Teachers' Pay Scale with Inner London weighting. Support: Weekly formal mentoring and a technology-forward Social Sciences department.
