About the Role A thriving and ambitious secondary academy in Nottingham is seeking an engaging History Teacher to join its Humanities faculty from January 2026. This full-time, permanent post offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with A-Level teaching available for suitably experienced candidates. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who values inclusivity, creativity and academic challenge within a supportive, forward-looking environment. Key Details Position: Teacher of History Contract: Full-time, permanent Start Date: January 2026 Key Stages: 3 – 4 (with KS5 available) Suitable for: Experienced teachers or ECTs The Department and Facilities The Humanities department is one of the largest and most successful in the school, offering an ambitious and knowledge-rich curriculum that encourages students to think critically and develop a love of enquiry. In addition, you’ll: Contribute to ongoing curriculum and resource development Support GCSE and A-Level students in achieving excellent outcomes Encourage debate, reflection and independent research Participate in enrichment and trust-wide projects that extend learning beyond the classroom About You You’ll bring: QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification A strong subject knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for History The ability to plan lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking A collaborative approach and commitment to high expectations for all learners Willingness to contribute to the wider school and community life About the School This large 11–18 academy serves a diverse and vibrant community and is part of a respected multi-academy trust known for its commitment to inclusion, aspiration and continuous improvement.
