The Role Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons Supporting performance, composition, and listening activities Encouraging pupil participation in music lessons and extracurricular activities Developing confident classroom routines and behaviour management Working closely with experienced colleagues within the Music department The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or be on track to qualify as an ECT A degree in Music or a related subject The ability to teach Music across KS3 and KS4 A positive and reflective approach to teaching and learning Willingness to take feedback on board and develop professionally Good organisation skills and a calm, encouraging teaching style School Information This secondary school in Oxford is known for its supportive leadership, positive staff culture, and commitment to high-quality teaching.
