Job description
Are you an ambitious and innovative English Teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity at a high-achieving school in Exeter? We are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school to appoint a talented English Teacher to join their exceptional faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a thriving learning environment and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. ASAP start – Full time position – Exeter School Information The school is recognised for its strong academic outcomes, inclusive ethos, and commitment to both student achievement and staff development. Students are motivated and behaviour across the school is excellent. Staff benefit from a collaborative culture and strong leadership support. About the English Department The English department is well-established and highly supportive, with a shared focus on delivering engaging, creative, and challenging lessons. Collaboration and professional growth are central to the department’s success. Responsibilities • Teach English across KS3/4 (KS5 available for suitable candidates) • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons • Assess, monitor and track student progress • Contribute to curriculum development Qualifications and Experience • Degree in English or related subject • PGCE or QTS • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting (including ECT placements) • ECTs welcome to apply Salary and Benefits • Competitive salary on the MPS/UPS scale (dependent on experience) • Supportive working environment • Ongoing CPD opportunities Application Please send your CV as soon as possible to be considered for this English Teacher role in Exeter starting ASAP.
