Job description
Lead a passionate team of Geography teachers at our well-established independent school in Hackney! Head of Department vacancy. Our supportive and highly successful independent school in Hackney is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Geography. You will have the opportunity to lead a team of dedicated teachers, further develop a thriving department, and inspire a love of Geography in our students. Key Responsibilities: Provide effective line management and support for Geography staff. Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of the Geography curriculum. Encourage innovation and the sharing of best practice within the department. Manage departmental resources and budget effectively. Liaise with parents and other stakeholders regarding student progress in Geography. Contribute to the wider leadership structure of the school. Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Strong organizational and administrative skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
