Design Technology Teacher (KS3-4) - Secondary School - Sutton Inspire the next generation of designers and makers! About the Design Technology Teacher Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful Design Technology Teacher will have the opportunity to teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and hands-on projects. Responsibilities of the Design Technology Teacher: Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities. Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students can explore their creativity and develop their practical skills in Design Technology . Assess and monitor student progress in Design Technology , providing constructive feedback and support. Contribute to the development of the Design Technology curriculum and departmental resources. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Design Technology and incorporate new technologies into the classroom. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Design Technology teaching. Actively close gaps in attainment and achievement between pupils and all groups of pupils. Monitor and promote the involvement of all groups of pupils in the extra-curricular life of the school. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Design & Technology or a related field. Experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level. A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Design & Technology . Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
