Job description
Admissions Officer – Mixed Secondary School in Kingston (January Start) Location: Kingston Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience A well-established mixed secondary school in Kingston is seeking a highly organised and professional Admissions Officer to oversee and manage the school’s admissions process. About the School Known for its excellent pastoral care and strong academic performance, the school prides itself on an inclusive and welcoming environment. With increasing popularity and high demand for places, the Admissions Officer plays a vital role in maintaining the school’s positive reputation in the local community. The Role • Manage admissions for all year groups, including in-year applications and Year 7 entry. • Act as the first point of contact for prospective parents, providing a warm and professional service. • Coordinate open days, school tours, transition events, and communications. • Maintain accurate records using the school’s MIS system. • Ensure compliance with admissions policies and statutory guidance. • Work closely with SLT, admin staff, and the Local Authority. Requirements • Previous experience in a school admissions or administrative role. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines. • Proficient with school MIS systems (SIMS/Arbor) and Microsoft Office.
