Job description
An Outstanding Ofsted-rated Secondary School located in Taunton, recognised for its supportive community and exemplary pupil conduct, requires a dedicated Teacher of English for a Permanent, Full-Time appointment, starting January 2026. Compensation & Contract Job Title: Teacher of English Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Start Date: January 2026 Location: Taunton, Somerset Salary: Paid on the National Teachers' Pay Scales (MPS/UPS). The Role The successful Teacher of English will provide instruction in English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and 5 (A-Level). The Teacher of English will benefit from a highly collegiate departmental environment, which prioritises shared pedagogical best practice. The Teacher of English will assume a crucial role in elevating literacy and communication standards across the entire school.
