Job description
Biology Teacher – Outstanding Secondary School, Surrey Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale School Information This Outstanding secondary school in Surrey serves students aged 11–18 and is known for its exceptional science outcomes, well-equipped laboratories, and culture of academic excellence. Role Information The school is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Biology Teacher to join a high-performing Science Department. You will teach Biology across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching available for an experienced practitioner. The role involves delivering engaging lessons with a strong focus on practical work, scientific literacy, and exam preparation. You will support students in developing investigative skills and a deep understanding of biological concepts. You will work closely with colleagues to develop curriculum resources, assess student progress, and contribute to enrichment activities such as STEM clubs, science fairs, and educational trips. Requirements • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Biology or a related discipline • Experience teaching Biology at secondary level • Strong practical and theoretical subject knowledge • Familiarity with GCSE (A Level desirable) • Excellent organisational and classroom management skills • Commitment to student achievement and inclusion Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible.
