Job description
Full-Time Psychology and Sociology ECT position Ofsted Outstanding School in Bournemouth MPS1 – MPS2 (ECT Pay Scale) January 2026 start An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Psychology and Sociology ECT to join an Ofsted Outstanding Secondary School in Bournemouth . This is the perfect role for an early career teacher eager to begin their professional journey in a nurturing, high-achieving environment. You’ll receive excellent support from a dedicated mentor and a department with a proven track record of success in A-Level Psychology and Sociology. School Information This large, Ofsted Outstanding School educates over 1,200 pupils aged 11–18. The Social Sciences department is highly regarded, achieving exceptional results year after year. Students are motivated, well-behaved, and eager to learn. The school offers structured CPD programmes, a strong ECT induction, and opportunities to observe experienced colleagues to enhance classroom practice. Requirements A degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related subject PGCE with QTS (or working towards completion) Strong commitment to teaching and learning excellence A genuine enthusiasm for inspiring students Salary Paid to scale (MPS1–MPS2).
