Job description
ECT of Science – Specialist Induction for Core Science Mastery (KS3/4) – Redbridge An Outstanding rated secondary school in Redbridge is seeking an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Science to begin their induction in a supportive and academically rigorous Science department from January 2026. ECT of Science required from January 2026. Redbridge-based school (Outer London) with an Outstanding Ofsted rating . Seeking a highly motivated ECT committed to mastering KS3/4 core and combined Science pedagogy. You will teach Science across KS3/4, benefiting from a structured induction programme focused on mastery teaching techniques, classroom management, and data-driven intervention. While the initial focus is KS3/4, there is guaranteed KS5 training and experience offered during the second year of your induction. Experience and Qualifications Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) or expected QTS by January 2026. Relevant Science degree (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics). Passion for teaching core and combined Science to a diverse student body. Commitment to completing the ECT Induction years with specialist subject mentorship. School Information Our induction programme is highly commended, offering a dedicated subject mentor, a reduced timetable beyond the statutory requirement, and weekly training focused on effective classroom practice. The department is highly organized with shared planning, significantly reducing workload. We offer an Outer London salary in a high-performing environment. Dedicated 10% reduced timetable beyond the statutory reduction. Weekly specialized ECT professional development sessions. Guaranteed KS5 training pathway starting in the second year. Strong collaborative team environment with shared planning resources .
