Job description
Are you an innovative and forward-thinking Design & Technology ECT ready to begin your teaching career in an inspiring school? A high-achieving secondary school in Oxford is looking to appoint a talented Design & Technology ECT from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering exceptional mentoring, professional growth, and the chance to teach in one of the region’s most successful DT departments. The Role You’ll teach Design & Technology across KS3–KS5, delivering creative, hands-on lessons that encourage problem-solving and design thinking. The department focuses on innovation, sustainability, and real-world application — helping students design with purpose and precision. You’ll be guided by an experienced Head of Department and dedicated ECT mentor, with weekly development sessions and regular feedback to support your growth as a new teacher. The School This well-regarded Oxford academy educates 1,200 pupils aged 11–18 and consistently performs above national averages.
