Job description
The Headteacher of this welcoming and well-led secondary school in Romford is looking to appoint a Music Early Career Teacher to join a supportive and well-resourced Music department from January . Music plays an important role in the school’s curriculum, supporting creativity, performance, and student engagement. This role offers an excellent start for an ECT seeking strong mentoring, clear structure, and a positive working environment. The Music department is collaborative and well organised, with experienced colleagues who are committed to supporting early career teachers. You will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to support extracurricular activities such as ensembles, concerts, and school performances. What the school is looking for: Romford January Start Music Teacher – ECT Music across KS3 and KS4 A passionate and enthusiastic early career teacher A commitment to professional development The ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities A positive and reflective approach to teaching Strong communication and organisational skills The successful Music ECT will receive a comprehensive induction programme, regular mentoring, and access to high-quality CPD. The school places strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and ensuring ECTs feel supported throughout their early career. School Information This is an 11–16 secondary school located in Romford, recognised for its supportive leadership team, clear behaviour systems, and positive working culture.
