Job description
A forward-thinking and highly regarded secondary school in Dudley is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business Teacher to join its thriving Business and Economics Department. This is a full-time, permanent role, available for an immediate start, suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop in a supportive and dynamic environment. The Business and Economics Department is central to this mission, offering a comprehensive curriculum that includes enterprise, marketing, finance, and economics. The Role The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Business lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 involvement depending on experience. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications. Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Business assessments and examinations. Developing practical and interactive projects to enhance student engagement and understanding of real-world business scenarios. Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and achievement. Supporting extracurricular initiatives such as business clubs, competitions, and community enterprise projects. Contributing to curriculum development, departmental planning, and resource creation. Candidate Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Business or Economics. Excellent classroom management and organisational skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. Commitment to safeguarding, inclusivity, and student wellbeing.
