Job description
A high-performing 11–18 secondary school in Stafford is seeking a passionate and well-organised Teacher of English to join its thriving English faculty from January 2026. The Role This is a full-time, permanent role teaching English across Key Stages 3–5. You’ll join a dedicated team that values both academic rigour and creativity, where literature and language are used to inspire confidence and curiosity in every student. The curriculum includes a balance of classic and contemporary texts, supported by an emphasis on strong literacy, debate and writing skills. The Department The English department is a cornerstone of the school’s academic success, with a record of excellent GCSE and A-Level results. Staff collaborate closely to plan engaging lessons and share best practice. Opportunities exist to contribute to enrichment such as creative writing clubs, public speaking, theatre trips and student magazines.
