Job description
We are currently recruiting an experienced, strategic, and compassionate SENCO to join a prestigious Independent School in Bath from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an exceptional opportunity to lead SEND provision within a highly respected academic setting. About the SEND Department The SEND Department is well-established and highly respected, offering tailored support, interventions, and specialist provision. The department includes experienced learning support assistants, SEN practitioners, and pastoral staff. The school has dedicated learning support spaces, assessment tools, and close links with external agencies. About the Role As SENCO, responsibilities include: • Leading and managing SEND provision across the school • Overseeing EHCP processes, assessments, and personalised plans • Supporting and training teachers to deliver high-quality adaptive teaching • Working closely with parents, carers, and external professionals • Ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice • Developing strategic initiatives to support whole-school inclusion Experience and Qualifications • Qualified SENCO (NASENCO) or willingness to complete • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills • QTS with extensive SEND experience Salary Competitive Independent School Leadership/Teacher Pay Scale Application To apply for this SENCO role in Bath, please send your CV as soon as possible.
