Job description
Physics Teacher – Lead Advanced Practical Physics and Drive KS5 Results in a Dynamic Inner-City School – Hackney A dynamic and rigorous secondary school in Hackney requires an ambitious Physics Teacher with a focus on advanced practical work and problem-solving, starting in January 2026. Physics Specialist required from January 2026 Hackney-based school with a dynamic Science focus and strong results. Ideal for a scientist committed to rigorous experimentation and high-level mechanics/electromagnetism. The successful applicant will teach Physics across KS3–KS5 (A-Level), focusing heavily on challenging practical application and theoretical depth. The role includes designing advanced investigative tasks, leading the school's STEM extension activities, and mentoring students for competitive university Science/Engineering courses. Experience and Qualifications QTS and a degree in Physics or a relevant engineering field. Proven ability to secure high grades at A-Level Physics . Experience in safely managing and teaching advanced practical physics apparatus. Commitment to maintaining a stimulating and dynamic learning environment. School Information This Hackney school boasts strong investment in its specialist labs and technician support. The Science department is collaborative and benefits from a high level of support from senior leadership, enabling a focus on high-impact teaching and dynamic subject delivery.
