Job description
An outstanding Independent School in Norwich is seeking an engaging and visionary Head of Art & Design from January . This role provides exceptional professional autonomy and the chance to lead a department committed to creative excellence. About the Role: You will oversee teaching and curriculum development across Art, Fine Art, Textiles and selected Creative Media , with teaching responsibilities up to GCSE and A-Level Portfolio Preparation . The successful candidate will guide students through both academic study and personal creative development, enabling them to build ambitious, diverse and expressive portfolios. School Information: The school promotes artistic expression as a defining element of its educational ethos. Purpose-built studios, printing presses, photography spaces, gallery displays and collaboration with local artists all form part of the department’s creative environment. The successful candidate will find genuine support, low classroom disruption, and a culture of professional trust . We are seeking a Head of Art who: Has strong leadership experience or readiness to step up Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge in Fine Art and related areas Is confident preparing students for Art A-Level and portfolio interviews Leads with warmth, structure and artistic inspiration Salary: Competitive Independent Leadership Salary .
