KS1 Teacher – SEN Primary School – Harrow – April Start Position: Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher Location: Harrow Start Date: April 2025 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience) We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join our SEN Primary School in Harrow. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher to work in a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to KS1 students with special educational needs. Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and support staff. Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued, confident, and encouraged to succeed. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to ensure continued development. Work closely with parents and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to each child’s education and well-being. Contribute to the ongoing development of the school's SEN provision and culture of inclusion. Who We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching KS1, preferably with students who have special educational needs. A strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and how to differentiate effectively. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
