Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Drama Teacher to join a prestigious independent school in Birmingham. This is a full-time role to begin in January, teaching across KS3–KS5 (GCSE and A-Level Drama & Theatre Studies). Drama Teacher required on a full-time basis Independent day school with strong academic reputation Well-resourced Performing Arts department with collaborative leadership Motivated pupils with high aspirations and excellent behaviour This is an outstanding chance to teach in a school where the Performing Arts are central to cultural and academic life. In recent years, 80% of pupils achieved grades 7–9 at GCSE Drama, while 84% of A-Level students secured A*–B. The department is lively and creative, with pupils taking part in annual productions, theatre trips, LAMDA qualifications, and performance showcases that attract strong community support. Requirements • Qualified Drama Teacher with QTS (PGCE, QTLS or equivalent considered) • Strong subject knowledge across GCSE and A-Level Drama and Theatre Studies • Ability to inspire and support students in both academic and practical performance work • Organised, reflective, and committed to ongoing professional development • Legal right to work in the UK Salary & Benefits Paid to scale on MPS/UPS, with potential enhancements for excellent candidates.
