Job description
We are currently seeking a committed and proactive Caretaker to join the facilities team at a successful and supportive secondary school in Nottingham . The facilities team plays a vital role in ensuring that the school remains secure, well maintained, and conducive to learning. The leadership team places a strong emphasis on maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the site. Role Information The successful candidate will be responsible for the general upkeep, security, and maintenance of the school premises. Duties include opening and closing the site, carrying out minor repairs, monitoring contractors, ensuring health and safety compliance, and assisting with school events or lettings as required. You will work closely with the Site Manager and wider facilities team to maintain a high-quality learning environment. Experience and Qualifications • Experience in caretaking, facilities, or maintenance desirable • Good understanding of health and safety and basic maintenance procedures • Strong practical, communication, and organisational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Flexible, trustworthy, and positive approach to work Salary Paid according to experience and local support staff pay scale Application This Caretaker position offers a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Nottingham school that values professionalism, reliability, and a strong sense of community.
