Job description
This respected Independent All-Girls School in Harrow is actively recruiting an entrepreneurial and highly dedicated Business Studies Teacher for a permanent, full-time role commencing in January 2026. This key position involves teaching Business, primarily at GCSE and A-Level, and forging strong links with the Economics and Computing faculties. The successful candidate will be instrumental in preparing young women with the commercial sharpness and analytical skills required for future leadership roles in the global marketplace. Responsibilities Design and deliver challenging, highly relevant lessons in Business Studies up to A-Level, bringing real-world business insight into the classroom. Develop students’ keen commercial awareness, financial literacy, and sophisticated ability to analyse complex business case studies. Track student progress meticulously, providing bespoke support and career guidance for competitive university admissions. Contribute actively to the social science life of the school, potentially running an enterprise challenge or investment society tailored to young women. Maintain the high academic and professional standards expected of the faculty. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a degree specialism in Business Studies, Finance, or a related field. Proven excellence teaching Business Studies to A-Level, with a track record of strong student outcomes. Excellent knowledge of current commercial issues and the ability to apply theory to real-world scenarios in a practical and inspiring way. Strong communication and motivational skills, vital for articulating complex commercial concepts clearly. A commitment to intellectual rigour and securing exceptional student outcomes.
