Job description
An outstanding primary school in Hillingdon is looking for a highly motivated and experienced SENCO to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis . This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the learning and development of students with special educational needs in a supportive and inclusive school environment. The Role: Leading the SEN provision within the school, ensuring the needs of all students with special educational needs are met effectively. Overseeing the identification, assessment, and planning for SEN students, working closely with teachers and support staff. Developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions for students with a range of learning needs. Coordinating and providing training for staff to support SEN strategies and ensure the best outcomes for students. Building strong relationships with parents, external agencies, and professionals to ensure holistic support for students. Leading and managing the SEN team , providing guidance and support to teaching assistants and other staff members. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and SENCO qualification (or in progress). Proven experience as a SENCO , with a strong understanding of SEN legislation and best practices. Experience in leading SEN provision and working with children with a variety of special educational needs. Strong leadership skills , with the ability to motivate and support staff in delivering high-quality SEN support. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and external agencies. A passionate commitment to ensuring the success and inclusion of all students, regardless of their individual needs.
