The Role As an experienced Music Teacher , your responsibilities will include: • Delivering inspiring and engaging Music Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a focus on KS5 music to stretch and challenge students. • Designing and implementing a creative curriculum that incorporates music theory, performance, composition, and history, catering to a wide range of abilities and interests. • Providing expert guidance for both individual and group performances, assisting students in refining their skills in vocal and instrumental music. • Collaborating with the Music Teacher department to ensure the curriculum is engaging and effective, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. • Offering constructive feedback to help students excel in their theoretical and practical music skills. • Supporting extracurricular activities such as concerts, music clubs, and school ensembles, offering students opportunities to showcase their musical talents outside the classroom. • Taking on leadership responsibilities within the department, including mentoring colleagues and contributing to strategic planning for the Music Teacher curriculum. What We Are Looking For We are seeking an experienced Music Teacher who is passionate about music and dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will possess: ✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Music or a related field. ✔️ Proven experience teaching music at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a particular focus on KS5. ✔️ A strong knowledge of music theory, performance, composition, and history. ✔️ The ability to engage and inspire students in both practical and theoretical aspects of music. ✔️ A creative approach to lesson planning that challenges students and fosters a love for music. ✔️ Excellent communication skills for working with students, colleagues, and parents. ✔️ A commitment to extracurricular activities that enhance students’ musical experience. ✔️ Experience in mentoring or leading a team within the department is desirable.
