Your Role as an English Teacher: 🔹 Deliver Engaging & Tailored English Lessons – Plan and teach differentiated English lessons that inspire students, covering literature, reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills. 🔹 Support Individual Learning Needs – Adapt your teaching to cater to the individual needs of students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring every student is supported in their learning journey. 🔹 Encourage Communication & Literacy Skills – Use creative and innovative methods to support the development of literacy and communication skills in students, helping them build confidence in their abilities. 🔹 Collaborate with a Multi-Disciplinary Team – Work alongside teaching assistants, speech therapists, and other specialists to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support students holistically. 🔹 Monitor Student Progress – Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and other professionals, ensuring students reach their academic and personal goals. 🔹 Promote a Positive Classroom Environment – Create an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and are inspired to engage with their learning. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching English at secondary level, preferably with a focus on SEN. ✅ Experience in SEN Education – Understanding of SEN teaching strategies, with a focus on supporting students with autism, dyslexia, ADHD, SEMH, or other learning difficulties. ✅ Passion for English – A deep enthusiasm for English education and a desire to inspire students to develop their literacy and communication skills. ✅ Creative & Adaptable – A flexible, innovative approach to teaching that caters to individual learning needs and engages students. ✅ Empathetic & Patient – A caring and patient teaching style, with a strong commitment to supporting students’ emotional and academic development. ✅ Strong Communication Skills – Excellent ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals to support students' learning and development. ✅ An Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
