Humanities Teacher - Croydon, South London (Catholic School) 🗺️ We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a well-regarded Catholic secondary school in the vibrant borough of Croydon. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students with a love for history, geography, and religious studies within a faith-based environment. The Role The school is seeking a qualified Humanities Teacher with the ability to teach across all three core subjects at Key Stage 3 and specializing in at least one at Key Stage 4 and A-Level. The ideal candidate will be adept at making complex topics accessible and engaging for all students. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering high-quality lessons in Geography, History, and Religious Studies to Key Stage 3 students. Teaching your specialist subject(s) to GCSE and A-Level, preparing students for examinations and life beyond the classroom. Developing and implementing a dynamic curriculum that encourages critical thinking and a deeper understanding of the world, in line with the school's Catholic ethos. Collaborating with a supportive team to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. Participating in extracurricular activities that enrich students' academic experience, such as field trips or debate clubs. Candidate Requirements To be considered for this role, you should have: A degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE. Proven experience teaching across the Humanities, with the ability to teach at least one subject to A-Level. A strong passion for your subject and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students. An understanding and appreciation of the Catholic faith and its values within an educational setting. Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
