A selective grammar school in Essex is seeking an ambitious ECT Business or Economics Teacher from January 2026. Key Details • Role: ECT Business/Economics Teacher (GCSE & A-Level) • School: Grammar School (11–18), Essex • Start: January 2026 • Suitability: Business/Economics ECTs • Exam Boards: Edexcel preferred About the School With 1,000 students, this grammar school is known for excellent outcomes in Business and Economics, strong Sixth Form uptake, and a high number of students progressing to LSE, Warwick, Manchester, and Russell Group universities. The Humanities Faculty is well-connected, well-resourced, and highly supportive of ECT development. The Role – What You’ll Do • Teach GCSE and A-Level Business/Economics. • Deliver units on markets, finance, enterprise, and macroeconomic themes. • Provide assessment and structured feedback. • Support entrepreneurial clubs, competitions, and academic societies. • Contribute to schemes of work and digital lesson resources. • Maintain strong behaviour expectations and academic focus. • Participate in wider school and pastoral responsibilities.
